How to Add a Space Type

1. What is the Add Space Type feature?

While you'll initially choose one primary category for your space, this feature allows you to select an additional space type. This allows you to reach a wider audience of potential guests, while the built-in duplicate booking prevention feature ensures the space is never double-booked.

If your space can be used for other purposes, the [Add Space Type] feature allows you to list it under an additional type, making it visible to guests in a different space category.

If  you have a space called 'The Blue Room' that's perfect for both dance rehearsals and photography shoots.

With the Add Space Type feature, you can list this single space under both the [Dance Studio] and [Photography Studio] categories.

2. How to Add a Space Type

Conditions
The Add Space Type feature is only available for spaces that have already been approved. Once your space is approved, the [Add Space Type] button will appear on your Spaces page.

The Process
1. Click the [Add Space Type] button on your Space page.

 

2. Enter the required details for the new space type.

 

3. Click [Save] and submit the new space type for review. 

4. Once it has been approved, it will go live and be available for guests to book.

Field Guide

• Space Type (Required)
  You must select a different space type from the one already listed.
• Space Name (Required)
  It's recommended to choose a name that clearly distinguishes it from the original space.
• Space Group Name (Optional)
  If you leave this blank, the name will automatically be set to 'Space Group'. We recommend giving it a clear, custom name to easily identify this group of listings, as they all share the same physical space.
  
  Once you save, both listings will be linked together as a single space group under the name Blue Room.

For example:
Space Group Name: Blue Room
Space A: Blue Room Party (Party type)
Space B: Blue Room Studio (Studio type)

3. The Role of a Space Group

The key function of a Space Group is calendar sync across same space group — a booking on one listing automatically blocks the same time on the others. This allows you to promote and manage your space efficiently for multiple purpose — without worrying about double bookings.

For example:
Space A: [Dance Studio]
Space B: [Photo Studio]
→ If a booking is made for Space A from 12:00 to 14:00,
→ The same time will automatically be marked as unavailable for Space B.
